SCIENCE BEHIND LOVE

SCIENCE BEHIND LOVE

What is love?

People say love is pure, painful, sweet, and dreadful — all at once. The truth is, love is a basic necessity in everyone’s life. Everyone needs to be loved to live a proper and healthy life. Love has various definitions. Ask someone and they will give you their own definition of love. Love is a variety of feelings, emotions, and attitude. For some love is more than just being interested physically in someone, it’s an emotional attachment.

In this article we are not going to discuss deeply about the defination of love. But we all know that it can be considered as a phenomenon of our life, Well there is neither a proper defination of love nor life in this world. If you ask people about life and love they will give you various answers according to their own point of views.

"Did you ever notice love is sort of a mysterious yet natural emotion in us and it must have to do something with our chemistry to one another? Or, have you ever concluded love could be a beautiful feeling helping species remain alive? If not, it is the time to be mindful because it will definitely help you envision and live a fuller life."

Why we fall in love?

there are 3 stages involved with falling in love namely lust, attraction, and attachment.  Each stage involves different types of chemical reactions within the body (specifically the brain). Along with that, there are different hormones present in the body helping to excite all these three stages (lust, attraction, and attachment) separately as well as collectively.

The BRAIN is involved in chemical reaction which leads to the production of three different hormones namely

  •    Testosterone,

  •     Dopamine,

  •     Oxytocin.
These three hormones are playing all kinds of bit odd strategic games in our life.

The first stage of love is LUST which is more often seen in your teen ages. The feel which comes in our teen age is a kind of infatuation where most people misunderstand this to be love. This stage will be with say 45 out of 50 members with each and every people we see. This creates possessiveness among the individuals. This is mainly because of the hormone TESTOSTERONE.

Once when we cross this lust stage we enter into the second stage of love called ATTRACTION. We get attracted in many ways. Usually people get attracted in character resemblance (parental resemblance), the pretty loving and caring way, good maturity level and most commonly by their external appearance. This stage will be with say 10 out of 45 (count of above stage). This is because of the hormone DOPAMINE.

Most people fail in these two stages and move apart. Some cross these stages and enter into the most beautiful stage of Love (i.e) ATTACHMENT. This stage will be with only one girl who will be his soul partner throughout. In this stage silence and distance doesn’t matters. Its all about trust and love. Entering this stage, no force can move them apart. This is mainly because of the hormone OXYTOCIN which is more commonly called as “Love Hormone”.

Love has nothing to do with HEART. Its all about the play of our hero BRAIN. If so then

Why the symbol of love is heart?

The answer is :Releasing of chemical occurs when the brain sends a signal to the adrenal gland. The gland releases hormones of adrenaline, dopamine and norepinephrine into the body and this adrenaline rush is responsible for the fast heartbeat, while the dopamine is responsible for creating the feelings of excitement. Typical signs of falling in love include increased heart rate, sweating and flushed cheeks.

" The neurons present in the body receives and transfers the information into electrical pulses which hits the brain and in-turn, the brain makes one respond according to the situation."
